My Gentle One

While I love painting people, I often resort to working off of digital images. Yet nothing compares to the sensory experience of sitting in front of a living, breathing human being. In the presence of a being, lies the universe. My daughter Naomi ecstatically volunteered to be my muse for this piece. Looking into the eyes of your young daughter staring back at you with such love and joy- there’s nothing quite like that either. Named after Naomi, literally “my gentle one”.
