Hannah Senesh; The Truth Will Win Out

Hannah Senesh; The Truth Will Win Out

$200.00

I was inspired to create this piece after reading a biography of Hannah Senesh.

Captured and imprisoned during World War Two, Hannah refused - despite imprisonment and torture - to divulge information that would throw Allied lives in jeopardy.

Hannah refused to plead guilty at her trial and yelled at the fascist government accusers: “It is not I who is a traitor but you! One day the world will know.”

How did Hannah have belief that justice would prevail in the midst of such darkness?

Hannah was marched to gunpoint and refused a blindfold, instead watching calmly as bullets bore into her body until she expired.

Hannah’s strength comforts me, as do all those who march on despite it all, eyes wide open, ready to handle the repercussions, refusing to turn away.

Those who find that fortitude within themselves pave the path towards a better future for all of us.

The world finds out, sooner or later. May justice continue to prevail.
